Well this game had been postponed due to the weather 3 times and we eventually played it away its fair to say at this stage of the competition we knew the game would be a tough one, We hadnt played Highgrove before and they where flying high in their own league.

Villa under 14s know how to turn it on against tough competition, we were missing Jack a key defender and parts of the pitch were unfit to play but in true Villa fashion we got on with it.

The game started well with Highgove coming at us well but our defence with James as sweeper holding very well, Highgove did not really trouble Matt in nets which is always a good sign that we were on top, the forward lads had chances and the concern was that we would rue those chances! but on the 26 minute mark Craggy put a great free kick over to the 6 yard box and Steve J met it with the back of his head or neck (he did say he meant it !!!)but fair play he was there and did well to make it a well deserved 1.0 to Villa.

We lost a battling Connor in the first half to a bad tackle but James M came on and did well.
 

Second half was much of the same with Villa being on top but not converting the chances, Craggy did well in defence a position he is not used to,
 

The game finished with the score 1.0 to Villa and move on to the quarter finals
