Euxton Villa F.C - Match Report

 LFA U14 Cup Semi Final

A tough game as expected being the semi final!

Hindley tried a tactic that Villa was not used to : playing loud music in the dressing room being loud on the pitch in the warm up and facing the Villa players as if to do the Haka New Zealand style!!

Villa were not fazed by all this, they got on with the warm up with a few smiles thrown to the opposition!

The game started well and a lot of midfield play from the start, everyone was on their toes and played really well. 10 minutes into the game and a bad clearance from Hindley, the ball went to Craggy who hit it sweetly with his right foot into the right hand side of the net great goal to make it 1.0 to Villa.

The rest of the first half was end to end stuff Villa defence playing a big part in keeping a clean sheet and Hindley keeper doing a great job in keeping the score 1.0. Matt had a couple of easy saves to make but was not really troubled,

Second half was much of the same end to end with both defences playing well and all strikers having their chances but Hindley keeper doing well and Hindley strikers not really troubling Matt.

Towards the end of the game Matt held onto to a couple of high balls!

To quote the Hindley Manager "That is the first game we have lost this season and its the first time we havn't scored in a game since I can remember.

Awesome defensive display done with true grit"

Everyone played a great part in what was a great game

Well done Villa
