We knew very little about Meanwood so we had to be on our toes!

Their  team looked very good in warm up very organised and disciplined.
 
The game started very fast and within the first 5 minutes Meanwood put a great passing move together but unfortunately the finishing header was weak, that was a reminder if we needed one!
8 minutes in and Ethan and James D did some great work with the ball and a pass through to Dan who finished it of well 1.0 2 minutes after and Dan made it 2.0 Meanwood were a great passing team but Villa worked really well to keep them out and equally as good in all departments.

2nd half and although we were two up we could not afford any slip ups
Meanwood tried very hard and at times played some great football but again Villa matched them,we were very strong in all areas of the pitch it took till 20 minutes of the 2nd half before Dan received a great through ball to make it 3.0
26 minutes and Matt pulled of a great save to keep Meanwood at bay,34 minutes and Lew played a good ball to Dan who finished well 4.0,then Dan made it a clean sweep just on the whistle 5.0
A great performance by everyone on the pitch, the team had to work hard from the start to the finish and once again they where a credit to Euxton Villa
