Ladybridge 3 v Euxton Villa 6
 
 
Well history has given us some great games against Ladybridge and we knew we were not in for an easy game !

The game started well but Ladybridge came at us from the start and with only 9 minutes into the game they had a great looping header over Matty 1.0 and then a great low drive from Ladybridge and an unusual error by matty saw the ball forced between his legs 2.0 then before we knew it we were 3.0 down to a great shot from their striker !!

We were not out of the game by any means but we needed a lot of character from the lads and it came firstly from James D with a good run and a great shot on 18 minutes 3.1,then on 23 minutes chris battled well and made it 3.2, we were back in the game at half time.

Half time team talk was about how well we had done in creating the two goals and we had the lads and ability to create more chances !

Within the first 3 minutes of the start of the second half a great passing move led to a good tap in from Josh 3.3 then 5 minutes later Kane had a good right footed shot and the keeper had no chance 3.4 Ladybridge were by no means out of the game and were pressing our defence but the lads were up for the challenge and Matty made some very good saves to keep our hopes alive. We started to make changes and the lads that came on were equally up for the challenge they fought well ! then with 7 minutes to go Dom put a brilliant ball over to Connor on the right wing who then found Lewis in the box and he put it away neatly 3.5 then just before the final whistle Craggy had a great long throw on the left wing to find Steven J who ran well into the box until he was pulled down Penalty ! Connor stood up and slotted it away nicely 3.6.
 

All the players can stand tall after showing great character coming back from 3.0 down to a very good Ladybridge side, everyone played very well and the man of the match could have gone to anyone.
