LFA cup match

After traveling to Pemberton near Wigan Via Bamber Bridge (Paul to blame) We faced an unknown team in this the first round of the LFA cup match !!

However within 3 minutes of the whistle Josh B had a great left foot shot which the keeper parried and it eventually came back to Josh and he hit it well with his right foot and into the corner of the net 1.0 !the next 15 minutes was to and fro in both half's Brierfield came through well but Matt was equal to the save and his kick was well down the ground and found Josh B who chipped the keeper well 2.0 ! It wasn't all one way but our defense was up to the mark and Brierfield never really challenged Matty Matt came out when they attacked and I guess it put them off well enough ! its fair to say that we tackled well today and Brierfield where always up against it !

After 30 minutes James D put a good goal away 3.0 A good first half from Villa.

At half time Paul made 3 changes from the subs bench and they settled in well,  Brierfield started well and our keeper came out early for a ball a managed to head it to Steven J who had a good one two and ended up taking the ball round their keeper and finished it well 4.0 ! after about 20 minutes of the second half Connor put away a great chance to make it 5.0 !

At this point Paul made a lot of changes to give all the lads a chance to play in different positions we where awarded a free kick and James D was good with the head 6.0 !Brierfield kept pushing and their front man was left unattended and was given the opportunity to put one away it hit the back stanchion post and came out of onto the goal line the referee didn't see it no goal but after a couple of minutes the opposing linesman made the ref aware of the situation and the goal stood 6.0 !
