Having played Gregson Lane just a few weeks ago in the semi final of the cup we new how much of a football game we were going to be in.

 
Both teams started really well and defences on both sides kept a tight line and did very well

Dom was kept busy in the sweeper position Steve J and James D in the midfield covered a lot of grass James M played some great balls through and Connor did a good job in keeping the ball and feeding Dan,Chris had the ball a lot with Craggy helping along on the left, Jack and George were solid and Matty did well with a couple of clearances,

But no goals in the first half Gregson keeper was the busiest and he did enough to keep us out.

Second half and much the same the game was well fought and neither team could find a way through Villa had some great shots saved by the Gregson keeper (surely their man of the match) it took just 5 minutes from the end before a breakthrough Craggy had a great header but the keeper made a great save but parried it into the path of lewis who put it away well 1.0, more pressure from Villa and 2 minutes later Connor turned and shot into the far corner keeper had no chance 2.0 Gregson came at us and on more than one occasion Matty made a good save and defence did well.
Then just before the whistle Dan struck the ball well to score our third.

A really good win we stuck at it till the end and we deserved the win, Gregson played very well and I am surprised they are not further up the league on tonight's display
