Well one of the teams that pushed us in the league so far this year is ribbleton when we beat them 2.0 so we thought they would come at us all guns blazing
 
The game started well for Villa with some good midfield play and some early chances but ... not taken in the first 15-20 mins we had about 5 chances and as Mrs Lid said to me we may rue the missed chances, then Steven J made a good strong run with the ball and a great pass to Danny who slotted it home nicely 1.0, the first half saw Villa create a lot of chances mostly went over the bar, Ribblton on the other hand didn't give our defence to much trouble and Matty did not have a save to make
Second half and Ribbleton came out strong and caused us a bit of wakeup as we were asleep at the start, then we hit the woodwork and another couple of chances but near the end of the second half Ribbleton where caught offside a couple of times,we where in command but Ribbleton tried harder but we held them of well and deserved the win on the day
