This was billed to be the game
that won the LFA cup, both teams han't lost in there
respective leagues.
The game started well and Villa had the best of the first 20
minutes with at least 4 free kicks in the Lytham danger area
but we could not covert the chances into goals,if only !
24 minutes in and Villa conceded a corner which we failed to
clear and Lytham put the ball in the top corner 1.0 we where
not out of it but we had to convert the chances we had given
ourselves,Matty made a good save that kept us in with a
shout but then just before half time another set piece
corner and they put that away 2.0 first half over and its
fair to say if we had just coverted one of the chances it
would have lifted us to go on and win !
Second half was much the same missed chances but Lytham went
on to convert another chance 3.0
The game finished 3.0 and Villa where not on there game
today ! On another day I believe we could have beaten them
but it was not to be. |
