What a start to the season! A 10-1
victory away to Chipping got the boys off to a fantastic
start with a superb effort from the team. Chipping were
forced to defend right from the kick off.
Early goals from Liam Fielding,Barney
Morris, Nicky Barnes settled the nerves. Despite the goals,
Chipping kept up their efforts and as a result we conceded a
goal, making the score 3-1. The goal seemed to spur Chipping
on but the team responded well ,Mathew going close with a
header , and then we scored again, making it 4-1 at the
halfime whistle.
After a rousing team talk from Andy the
boys played some good passing football and in no time the
goals were flying in, thanks to Barney, Nicky, Liam ,Robert
and Matthew.
The scoreline doesn’t reflect a really
good effort from the Chipping boys but Euxtons teamwork paid
dividends. Strong defence led by Kyle in midfield combined
with a stirling effort by Ryan in goal ensured we only
conceded the 1 goal.
The 10- 1 victory away from home has set
the tone for the season, a fantastic team effort, well done
to all the boys.
