A bright sunny
morning found the boys well up for the game. From the
kick-off both sides pushed forward and chances were
created at both ends, the goalkeepers for both teams
making some excellent stops. However we got the
breakthrough following some good passing in midfield,
Robert slotted home. However the game was not over and
still finely balanced with each team cancelling each
other out.
Half time saw us
still 1 –0 and the game could go either way, the start
of the second half saw some good football from both
teams, but once again following some neat passing in
midfield, up popped Robert again and scored 2-0. The
goal really knocked the wind out of Lancon but the boys
kept up the pressure with lots of chances and half
chances going begging until Liam scored, game over.
The game was
conducted in good spirit by both teams and was a credit
to all concerned.
