Penwortham Blue 0 Euxton Villa 3
In
keeping with his successful squad rotation system, Andy
decided to start with Ryan up front and Robert as one of
the subs. After last weeks match the boys were really keen
to get back to their winning ways and right from the
kick-off were pressurising Penwortham. The boys played like
they know they can, passing and talking to each other ,
their movement was great to see. Soon the pressure started
to pay and a great cross form the left was met by Ryan (yes
Ryan) to head home a great goal. 1-0. Chances kept coming
but the ball wouldn’t go in!!
Penwortham then really started to play and were soon putting
us under pressure but the defence held solid with Kyle and
Matthew marking well. had we converted all the chances we
should have been 4 up., However we continued with our
passing game, half time came and Ryan gave way for Robert
and once again we pushed forward realising that 1 was not
enough. Following some excellent passing and forward play
Robert scored with a low drive and eased the nerves.
Penwortham continued to press forward but were struggling to
deal with our runs and as a result, Liam scored making it
3-0.
The boys really
played well and were a joy to watch.
