As the fog rolled in, Villa rolled on with 3 more points to keep up the pressure at the top.

The lads paid the price for allowing Longridge too much time & space falling behind to a cracking strike that JJ could only watch fly into our top corner.
This proved their only effort on goal. We dominated in every area and equalised with a fine effort from James midway through the first half.

HT 1-1.

Haz & James displayed some great passing moves and combined well in an effort to raise the tempo although the game became scrappy. Cobby came off the bench to grab what turned out to be the winner and you sense the relief at the final whistle.

We are going to have to be at our very best next week when 3rd meet 1st and we entertain Bamber Bridge. There were many occasions where players created space and were denied a goal scoring opportunity because the final ball was not made. We have to remember to PASS!!
