Euxton played some
good football in this match in very difficult conditions,
with a strong wind blowing throughout and intermittent
hailstorms during the match.
We opened the
scoring on 23 minutes when Steven ran onto a ball in
midfield and placed a shot over the keeper’s head.
Four minutes later
following great work by Connor, Lewis controlled a ball
inside the box and finished,
Euxton doubled the
score in the second half following a well hit drive by
Connor and then after good work by Josh, the ball fell into
the box for Lewis to react and poke the ball home.
It was a comfortable
win and allowed us to make one or two tactical changes to
try players in different positions.
