Match Report U12s vs Leyland Albion 1st
October
Euxton travelled to our neighbours
needing to build on the progress made in the last few
matches.
To say this game was totally one sided is
not poetic licence. Euxton were on top from the first minute
when Connor got in front of the defender to open the
scoring, right through the game. I don’t recall Matty having
to make a save.
Connor scored again on 28 minutes when he
hit a first time shot that landed at him from a corner.
3 minutes into the second half Josh made
a fantastic run down the wing before pulling the ball back
for Chris to score.
Then 4 minutes later Jack won a tackle on
the edge of the Leyland box before moving forward and
hitting a firm shot into the top corner.
Steven and Connor combined in great link
up play after 47 minutes before Steven beat the offside trap
to finish.
Connor completed his hat trick on 66
minutes by latching onto a through ball and hitting a shot
from the edge of the box.
If we had taken all of our chances this
could easily have been more than 6 and the Leyland manager
conceded that his team had been “battered” at the end of the
game.
It was a great performance.
