Match Report U12s vs Longridge Town 24th
September
Euxton travelled to Longridge needing to
build on the positive results of late but aware of the
threat of any team in this league.
This was a game of total commitment with
some “lively” tackles going in, one of which left Steven
with a nasty gash above his shin pad.
On 13 minutes a foul inside the box on
Connor enabled him to step up and slot home the resultant
penalty.
1 – 0 at half time represented the
competitiveness of the game. Although Euxton had played the
better football, Longridge were still in the game.
Then in the second half we got on top and
following a good shot that was saved Lewis reacted first to
poke the ball past the keeper.
Craggy completed the scoring with a drive
from the edge of the box.
A good win and great to keep a clean sheet
