Match Report U12s vs Rochdale St Clements
(LFA Cup) 17th September
Euxton travelled to Rochdale for the 1st
round of the LFA cup. The match was played on a pitch that
had suffered from the heavy rain and it was clear that some
hard work was going to be required to play the football we
know Euxton are capable of.
To be fair both teams played some good
football on this difficult surface and Euxton ran out
comfortable winners in the end after goals from Connor 2,
Lewis, Steven and James D.
Two goals stand out, the first after Josh
picked the ball up in his own half and beat 3 men before
putting it on a plate for Connor, and the third a
magnificent shot from outside the box from Steven.
This was a confidence-boosting win and
sets us off on our journey in the LFA cup.
