Euxton Villa F.C - Match Report
  Brinscall 0 - 6 Euxton Villa Orange

SOME LIKE IT HOT!! - Let playing guess who?  First Clue - never warm! Second clue – Always cold!  - Anybody guess who we played, THAT’S RIGHT – AWAY at Brinscall.

But this time was to be different, for the first time this year we welcomed a FULL squad of players - with the return of Oliver, Thomas G, Kallan and Kurtis to the fold, having made the decision it was Euxton all the way for 2009.

The Oranges got off to a flying start with some high tempo passing which set the stall for the whole game and dominated at times by great foot work from all.  Goal number one was slotted away by Joe (left footed – the reporter thinks?) to get the Oranges off the mark.

The lead was quickly doubled when Thomas G was set on his way through from a Dylan DB Pass which was slotted into the corner 2-nil.

The introduction of a new midfield of Connor, Kallan and Kurtis paid dividends with more pressure being applied to Brinscall which unluckily for them led to an own goal to give the Oranges a 3 nil half time lead.

The second half saw the Oranges keep up the temp with the mazy run and nifty passing of the new midfield trio, leading to Kallan making it 4 nil.

At this point coach Dylan made some different alterations to the team with Keeahn, Tom B and Kallan going in midfield and a mix of Dylan DB, Thomas G, Oliver and Connor now interchanging at the back to see how they reacted to playing outside the comfort zones.

No real reason to think it would cause concern, as Kallan jinked his way (and I’m sure he gets himself lost sometimes!?) to his number two and The Oranges fifth.

Euxton then sealed a great display with a superbly delivered corner from Joe to Thomas “the bullet” Bebbington for a magnificent header to finish off a 6 nil win away at Brinscall.

PS. Throughout this game Gabe was keeping is cool when called upon to ensure a continuation of two clean sheets.

Kallan picked up the Man of the Match award.

Keep up the hard work and give Dylan and “Rafa” Murphy some food for thought on selection.
